about this page
This is where I keep recordings, lyrics, songwriting notes, unfinished ideas, project updates, and whatever else falls out of my brain while holding an instrument.
Some things here are finished. Most things are not.

Follow Me Down [DEMO + Lyrics]
Just a little warning: the recording and lyrics for this song are mostly improvised, so this is nowhere near finished lol, nor do I expect things to make sense...
The recording was taken over christmas break at the SCDMS house
Coffee [DEMO + Lyrics]
a cute lil demo about grabbing coffee and building resilience, lyrics and chords are both improvised
The recording was done in the parking lot behind the mall on my lunch break...
A Brief Reintroduction to Life [MIDI DEMO]
Sometimes the Best Self-Deprecation is Just Self-Reflection DEMO + Lyrics
Here's a demo recording I made of this song I made in Sudbury when I was alone at the SuperCDMS house over the Christmas break.
Song idea: detector noise as percussion
Build a rhythm out of clicks, relay noises, serial connection tones, ventilation hum, and Geiger-counter pulses.
Possible structure: quiet detector ambience, then bass enters, then everything collapses into a loud fast section.
Concept Album Overview – “Blood Stained Hands (TBD)” by Crust after Curfew
A mentally ill young adult becomes infatuated with this girl he met at a punk show.
From his POV: A young man meets a girl at a punk show. She’s beautiful and funny and really cool. They start spending a lot of time together, and she is showing a lot of interest in him and is giving him signs that she wants to leave her boyfriend for him. So much so, that she is consistently trying to spend time with him instead of her bf. So he tries to convince her to just break up with the bf. She refuses, which leads him to believe that the bf has some serious leverage over her and is controlling/abusive, because she loves him, why wouldn’t she leave the bf for him? He subsequently starts looking into how to get rid of the bf. He decides that he is going to kill the bf, and run away with the girl like bonnie and clyde. So he looks into how to get away with murder, and realizes that the government has cameras on every street corner and they track everything, and so he becomes paranoid about that. He meticulously plans the murder out and executes it all according to plan, delivering to the girl her boyfriend’s freshly cut-out heart as a token of his devotion. Surprisingly, she does not like this, even though she had so clearly led him to believe this is what she wanted. In order to avoid capture, he must run away immediately, so he catches a frieght train out of town and sends her letters and postcards declaring his love to her. But being on the rails is lonesome, so he gets to thinking and realizes that his POV has been completely skewn by a psychotic/delusional episode. From the reflective/outside POV: A young man meets a girl at a punk show. She’s beautiful and funny and really cool. They quickly become friends and spend time together often. Out of the blue, he pleads with her to leave her boyfriend of three years for him. She’s shocked and obviously refuses, and seriously cuts down the amount of time she spends with him, usually now bringing the boyfriend along. The guy is clearly on edge and having some sort of issues, but she cares about him (he is her friend after all). One day in the snowy season, she’s on a walk with her boyfriend in a public park and he needs to use the bathroom. After he locks the door to the public park restroom, she hears him scream in agony, and thusforth calls the police. A few minutes of panic pass and her friend emerges from the bathroom, covered in blood from head to toe, holding the heart of her now-dead boyfriend and tells her that they need to run away together so they can live out their lives like they were always meant to, they didn’t have to be star-crossed lovers anymore. She is horrified and betrayed and terrified of what happens if she says no, so she sprints full force and dives into the lake at the park, swimming as fast as she can away while screaming bloody murder. The guy disappears into the night before the police show up. A few weeks later, while she is still processing and mourning the death of her lover, letters and postcards start showing up in her mailbox with no return address, that are obviously from the guy, asking her to run away with him like bonnie and clyde. He goes through the process of realizing and grieving both the loss of his POV and the gravity of what he actually did (even though he never fully leaves the delusional mental state). He convinces himself that he can right his wrongs, and writes her about how he realizes he was wrong, apologizing, and telling her that he will make up for it. On the one-year anniversary of the crime, he shows up on her doorstep. When she answers, she is justifiably terrified but he doesn’t realize that. It angers him that she is scared after all he’s done for her, all he’s learned and grown for her, it was all for her. He forces his way into the house and monologues about all of his feelings, how he figured out he was wrong and delusional, even finding a letter he wrote that was on the coffee table in her house and reading it aloud. He is talking about how much he’s learned and changed and he eventually gets to what he’s doing right now, apologizes, and promptly shoots himself in the head while standing in front of her, as she cowers in her recliner horrified.
